Submission Information
Instructions for Authors
Global Lawyers invites original submissions on international legal insights, case studies, and emerging trends in cross-border practice. Manuscripts should contribute to scholarly or professional discourse while remaining accessible to a global audience of lawyers, academics, and policymakers. All submissions are subject to a double-blind peer reviewprocess, conducted by the Editorial Board and external experts.
Submission Guidelines
- Word Length: 1,500–5,000 words (excluding references and appendices). Shorter perspectives (1,500–3,000 words) are encouraged for timely or urgent topics.
- Format: Microsoft Word (.docx), double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font. Citations should use footnotes formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style (17th edition). Submissions must include an abstract (150–250 words) and 5–7 keywords.
- Content Requirements: Submissions must be original, unpublished work. The focus should be on global relevance, with comparative analysis where applicable. Tables, figures, and appendices are welcome, but they must be original or properly cited.
- Authorship: Submissions may be authored by one or more individuals. Authors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest and funding sources in a cover letter.
Submission Process
- Email: Submissions should be sent via email to CEO@ITCLA.org. The email must include a cover letter with author affiliations and a statement confirming the originality of the work.
- Review Process: Initial review takes approximately 2–4 weeks. The full peer review process typically takes 6–8 weeks.
Page Charges and Open Access
Global Lawyers is committed to ensuring accessibility and publishes under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). There are no page charges or article processing fees (APCs) for authors. All accepted articles are published as open access, with no embargo period. Authors retain copyright but grant the journal a non-exclusive license for dissemination.
Optional Charges: Color figure charges apply only for print editions ($50 per figure); digital versions are free of charge.
