We offer job search/job placement assistance, as well as job training programs to Native Americans living in the state of Louisiana.
Clients looking to advance in the workforce by obtaining higher education and/or training credentials can take advantage of our Career Pathways program.
Enhanced Support Services
We provide enhanced supportive services to clients in need. We can assist with financial burdens such as child care expenses, work/job related expenses, relocation for work, and much more.
By offering employment and training services to tribal citizens, we can address systemic unemployment in tribal communities, and provide opportunities for tribal members to be self-sufficient, and make financially responsible decisions to ensure sustainability. Listed below are the grants that allow us to contribute to the prosperity of Native Country.
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act was signed into law on July 22, 2014. The act is designed to help job seekers access employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy.
This grant allows us to provide programs like the Work Experience Adult Program and Summer youth programs. These programs help tribal members who have little to no work experience gain basic work related skills such as punctuality, workplace etiquette, customer service, etc…
The Workforce Innovation Fund was designed to support innovative service delivery strategies to produce better outcomes for clients and lower costs for service providers. It acts as an enhancement to services available through WIOA by allowing service providers to allocate funds in a more creative, and effective, manner.
